UNUSC Addition, Renovation Projects Continue Moving Forward

LAKEVILLE, IN. - Union-North United School Corporation continues moving forward in both the LaVille Elementary School classrooms and the LaVille Jr.-Sr. High School Family and Consumer Science renovation.

"The projects at both buildings are going well," said UNUSC Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter.  "The cement floor was poured early this week in the FACS room, as well as the footers at the Elementary addition.  The roof at both places continues to get put in place.

"At the HS, Mr. Vaughn's room on the right going down B hallway will be the first one completed and turned back over to us.  It should be completed within two weeks, and the next two rooms on the same side will follow after that.  The rooms are currently being prepped with ceiling grids installed, the walls skim coated, and the floor ready for tile.  When those rooms are turned back to us the crews will start finishing up Mr. Melton's and Mrs. Kickbush's rooms.  The weather has slowed the progress on the flat roof at the Elementary, but the addition is closing the space in for the winter weather.  There is plenty to get done, but we are happy with the progress."
