LAKEVILLE, IN. - The LaVille Jr.-Sr. High School renovation project continues to move right along.
Several rooms down 'B' hall from regular classrooms, the art room, and the family and consumer and science lab are getting a much-needed makeover.
"At the Jr. Sr. High the rooms have been demolished and asbestos removal has taken place," said Union-North United School Corporation Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter. "The FACS room is also awaiting steel beams, and the roof will be taken off at the start of next week. After the steel is in place, the new roof will be installed and the cement floor poured. The rooms down B hall will start to get refurbished now that demo is complete. They will have new lights, flooring, wall coverings, white boards and ceiling tiles. We are waiting for the new HVAC units to arrive, and that will be the final part of the project for those rooms."
Stay tuned for further updates as the project moves forward.
