Board of School Trustees votes to accept all of the bids for coming projects

LAKEVILLE, IN. - At Monday's Union-North United School Corporation Board of School Trustees meeting, the Board voted to move forward to accept all of the bids for the projects before them.  Attached is a group of four pictures highlighting the next phase of projects.  Page one shows the elementary addition of three new rooms on the Kindergarten wing and an exterior door threshold replacement in the yellow wing.  Page two depicts the flat roof area which will be replaced.  Also, we will be adding a metal shield over the brick surrounding the flat roof area.  Finally, the clerestory in each wing will be replaced.  All of the things on page two will complete the roofing at the elementary, and it should provide for a watertight solution for the building.  We completed the shingled part of the roof in 2019.  Page three gives you an idea of the continuation of classroom renovations.  As you know, we renovated the rooms in A hallway both upstairs and downstairs just recently.  We are now continuing down B hallway by doing the rooms just south of the courtyard.  The Board also chose to turn our Family and Consumer Science room into a state of the art culinary educational experience.  Lastly, page four shows the flat roof area being done at the Jr. Sr. High along with a correction of water leaks over the offices at the building.  We are very excited to keep the improvements at LaVille moving forward.
