Bus Safety: There Are Children’s Lives At Stake

Vehicles traveling in both directions are required to stop when amber lights on a school bus are flashing and/or the red stop-signal arms are extended.  Only proceed when the lights go out and the stop-signal arm is restracted.

Decelerate when a school bus slows down and do not try to rush past when it slows or stops.

Children may run toward the bus before the stop signals are activated.
