LaVille Elementary School Principal Excited To See Students During 2019-20 Registration

LAKEVILLE, IN. - LaVille Elementary School principal Ken Shirley enjoys seeing the excitement and fresh faces during Registration Day.

LaVille Elementary School is holding registration July 23 in the auxilary gym at LaVille Jr.-Sr. High School due to on-going construction at LaVille Elementary.

"Registration day is always fun!" said Shirley.  "We get to see the student's excitement, the smiles on their faces and watch them find out who their classroom teacher is.  We get to hear all about their summer activities and adventures."

Shirley also appreciates the many volunteers that it takes to pull off the 12-hour registration marathon.

"It takes a lot of volunteers to make our registration process run smoothly," explained Shirtley.  "We have teachers, office staff, cafeteria staff, PTO members and many others who help make registration successful.  Parents will have several stations to visit including cafeteria, school nurse and transportation.  Parents can expect to complete the process in 20-30 minutes."

Shirley would like to remind parents that if they missed registration, they can stop by the elementary office to register.  The LaVille Elementary School office is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.

According to Shirley, "We will have Open House at the elementary on Monday, August 5th from 6 to 7 p.m."
