    Dear LaVille Elementary School Community,

I am excited to welcome everyone to LaVille Elementary School.  I hope everyone had an awesome summer filled with enjoyable times, incredible memories and some much needed relaxation!  It is hard to believe that we are about to embark on the school year and I know that we are all ready to work together and build on our past successes!

Our exceptional staff has been enthusiastically preparing for opening day to ensure that our children have an unbelievable year.  The custodial staff has been working day and night to clean and beautify our school; our Main Office staff has been organizing and preparing materials that keep the school running smoothly; and our teachers and teacher aides have been in all summer setting up their classrooms for the first day!  The entire staff has one goal - to create a safe, clean, nurturing and empowering environment for our children and they have definitely been successful in achieving that goal!

As I begin my second year as principal of LaVille Elementary, I am eager and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our children.  I recognize that all of us have work to do. Under the guidance and support of our Superintendent, we will embrace new materials, innovative ideas, and considerations on how we can improve.  We will work collaboratively and meet regularly as a staff to study, to learn, and to plan for the success of each child.  We will carefully examine data and base our instruction upon what our students truly need.  We believe that all children can learn.

As we proceed through the school year, we will maintain our focus on each child as an individual.  As a highly qualified staff, we will provide quality instruction for all students.  I encourage all parents and guardians to get involved in your child’s education by reading all home/school correspondence, helping with your child’s homework, reading with your child often, and volunteering in classrooms whenever possible.

I am confident that this will be an outstanding school year and look forward to working with the staff and community to continue the LaVille Elementary tradition of academic excellence!
